Vancouver Police identify West End homicide victim

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Vancouver Police Department has identified the woman who was found dead in an apartment in the West End last week.
The body of 34-year-old Marline Mars was found in the apartment near Jervis and Harwood Streets. Police were called just after 4 p.m. Friday.
Constable Jason Doucette says a person of interest has been identified in this case.
“We do believe the suspect and the victim did know each other,” he says. “This was not a domestic situation, and we do not have any reason to believe the public are at risk.”
Two other people were in the apartment when investigators arrived; they were not hurt and both are considered witnesses.
No arrests have been made and no further details have been released.
