VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A 20-year-old Vancouver woman has been charged with second-degree murder after the death of another woman in the city’s West End earlier this month.
Brooklyn Golar has been charged over the killing of Marline Mars, 34, on October 13th. Mars was found dead at a home near Jervis Street and Harwood Street.
In a statement, the Vancouver Police Department says investigators feel the only person responsible for this crime is Golar, who has been arrested and is in custody.
Police have said the victim and the suspect knew each other and this was not a domestic situation.
They’re asking anyone with information about the homicide to contact the VPD at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
