More than 150 charges against Surrey pair in apartment mailbox, parking garage break-ins

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – More than 150 charges have been approved against a pair who Mounties in Surrey call “prolific property crime offenders.”

Officers say an investigation spanning mid-August through mid-October looked at a long list of apartment complex break-and-enters.

Police say the suspects were caught on surveillance footage, going through communal mailboxes and underground parking garages. They were arrested last month at a hotel room.

Police searches of two locations turned up a stolen IDs, banking documents, and credit card data.

A total of 157 charges have been laid against Serena Goth, 43, and Calvin Cranmore, 36. Both are from Surrey.

The charges include break and enter, fraud, possession of stolen property, and theft.

Mounties in Surrey are reminding people who live in apartment and townhouse complexes to not allow strangers into the building and to collect their mail daily.
