Two men seriously injured in Surrey but circumstances unclear

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Two men were found with serious injuries in the Fleetwood area on Friday night, but Surrey RCMP is still trying to figure out how the men got hurt.

Mounties were called out to 168th Street just after 11:00 p.m., where they found two men with serious injuries.

One had a stab wound, while the other man had injuries to his face.

Surrey RCMP Sergeant Duane Honeyman says police don’t know what led to the men’s injuries.

“That’s actually something we’re still trying to determine upon speaking to the victims. Due to their injuries we haven’t been able to obtain a lot of information yet.

“Both parties were transported to local area hospital in serious condition, and at this point in time we’re trying to determine exactly what occurred,” Honeyman says. “It doesn’t appear any other altercation had occurred at the intersection, and we’re just trying to figure out where it came from.”

He says police are speaking with witnesses to try and get more information.

Anyone with further information who has not already spoken to police is being asked to contact Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
