Rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Make sure you have your boots and an umbrella handy for the next couple of days. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver.

The agency says a “moisture-laden” system will move over the South Coast with anywhere between 60 to 90 millimetres of rain falling by Monday before the front weakens and passes over us.

Some of the areas expected to be hit the hardest are the North and West Vancouver, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Vancouver, Burnaby and New Westminster.

If you are driving today, the rain may cause some localized flooding in low-lying areas, depending on where you are.
