Surrey man killed in shooting on Vancouver’s West Side

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – One man has been killed after an apparent shooting on Vancouver’s West Side.

Vancouver Police say they were called to the area of Marguerite Street near West 49th Avenue to find a man with gunshot wounds just before 1 p.m.

He would later die in hospital care.

Police say he  was a 32-year-old man from Surrey, but are not releasing anymore information about his identity.

Investigators say this does not appear to be a random shooting and no arrests have been made at this time.

This is Vancouver’s sixth homicide of 2018.
