VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – One of the three men accused of beating up a man with autism in Mississauga has been arrested.

Parmvir “Parm” Singh Chahil, 21, of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated assault.

“He was arrested in Windsor,” says Cst. Bally Saini with Peel Regional Police. “He is going to be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton… We are thanking Windsor Police Service for their assistance.”

Police have also arrested Hardip Padda, 44, and Harmanovir Chahil, 18, both of Windsor and charged them with accessory after the fact. The two are believed to be the mother and brother of the suspect.

A video released by police shows three men punching and kicking a man with autism, as he was putting on his rollerblades at a bus station. The man was left with cuts and a broken nose.

Police believe all three suspects are from the Lower Mainland.

A second suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Ronjot Singh Dhami.

Two days ago, his lawyer Jag Virk, said his client maintains his innocence and will be turning himself in to police. Peel police tell CityNews arrangements are being made for that to happen Monday morning.

Police say Dhami used to live in Surrey.

A third suspect has not been identified, but he may go by the first name “Jason.” Police say they don’t have any other information about the man at this point.
