DELTA (NEWS 1130) – Almost one month after a sex assault in Sunbury Park, Delta police have released a composite sketch of the suspect.

The attack happened between 12:30 and 1 a.m. on April 12 near Sunbury Hall in North Delta.

Police say the victim parted ways with a friend, and followed a path through the park. She was then approached from behind, forced to the ground, and sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, about 35-years-old, 5’10’ tall, with short brown hair and a full beard. He has a medium build, and was wearing a black hoody and blue jeans at the time of the attack.

Delta police have increased their presence in the immediate area of the park following the assault.

While witness interviews, forensic examinations, and video canvassing in the area have been completed, no arrests have been announced in the case so far.
