Police in Toronto have now identified the third suspect wanted in the beating of a man with autism in Mississauga back in March.
In a video released by police in March, a man is seen sitting at the bottom of a stairwell, putting on roller blades. Three young men approached him from behind and began to punch and kick him.
The unidentified victim suffered a broken nose and cuts to the face.
Peel Police Constable Harrinder Shoi says a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 21 year old Jaspaul Uppal.
“If you do see him or you know him or you know where he is, we’re asking that you do not approach him, that you call police… We’re advising [Uppal] to go see a lawyer and turn him in to any police station across Canada.”
Uppal has no fixed address.
Police have already arrested and charged two other men with aggravated assault. Ronjot Singh Dhami and Parmvir Singh Chahill are originally from the Lower Mainland.
Two other people have been charged with accessory after the fact.
There’s no word yet if the third suspect also has ties to our region.
