Rich Coleman not running for Surrey Mayor

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – After weeks of will he, won’t he, Liberal MLA Rich Coleman says he will not be running to be the mayor of Surrey.

The former solicitor general says he isn’t leaving provincial politics, despite having considered running on a platform to crack down on gang activity in the city.

Coleman received criticism for his time in office during a period when money laundering was on the rise in BC casinos.

Surrey’s current Mayor, Linda Hepner announced she won’t be running again in October.
