Surrey senior charged with murder in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) – A senior from Surrey has been charged with murder, after a woman was killed in the Okanagan earlier this week.
Tejwant Danjou, 69, was arrested shortly after the victim was found at the Best Western hotel in West Kelowna on Sunday.
RCMP Staff Sergeant Annie Linteau says Danjou has now been charged with second-degree murder.
“I can confirm that the man and woman were known to each other and that they were from Surrey. We are not looking for any other suspects in relation to this incident.”
The victim was also from Surrey.
Mounties won’t say how the two knew each other, nor release any details about how the woman died.
