BRITISH COLUMBIA (NEWS 1130) – Mudslides forced the closure of multiple highways across B.C. Sunday morning.
Highway 1 was closed in both directions, about 23 kilometres west of Savona. Crews are in place to remove the debris. The road has opened since to single lane traffic but it’s unknown when it will reopen fully.

The slides have also forced Highway 99 to close in both directions near Hat Creek Corner. An update on when the road might reopen is expected around 12 p.m.

Highway 97 is also closed both directions at Clinton. Crews are on site assessing the damage. The highway is also closed northbound at the junction with Highway 1.
