VPD officer injured after suspected impaired driver rear-ended police car

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A Vancouver police officer was taken to hospital after their police car was struck from behind.

Police say luckily the officer’s injuries were minor.

The incident took place just before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The police car was on the corner of Main Street and Keefer when it was rear-ended. The officer was in the driver’s seat.

Police say the second driver was not injured in the collision but is being investigated for driving while being impaired by drugs.
