MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) – An RCMP helicopter, several police vehicles and the SPCA are at what Ridge Meadows Mounties are calling an unfolding event in Maple Ridge.
Sergeant Brenda Gresiuk says officers were called a home in the Albion area of Slatford Place and 103-A Avenue.
“Police helicopter was in the area, which is normal, it’s a tool that we use to assist and advance a police investigation,” she says. “We have it contained to a residence and police will be there for some time. There’s no standoff, it’s currently a police investigation and police are just at scene right in the middle of their investigation.”
A police dog is also there.
NEWS 1130 has been told by Mounties this involves an investigation that started in Coquitlam this afternoon.
