VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It would seem this week in Vancouver bird is the word–the Vancouver International Bird Festival is on today through next Sunday at the Convention Centre.
With nearly 100 booths for bird lovers to check out, organizer Rob Butler says there really is something for everyone.
“There’s 80 exhibitors who have everything from binoculars and tour companies and nature groups and there’s a big photo contest, there’s yoga and birds, there’s hipster birdies, there’s bikes and birds! The list goes on and on and on.”
Butler says there are events all over town tied to the event.
“Our partners are Grouse Mountain, Science World, The Museum of Vancouver, Van Dusen Gardens, and North Vancouver, and each of those sponsors will be having their own Bird Festival Day at their locations as well.”
