Cricket caramel apples, jousting knights… News 1130 at The Fair at the PNE

Opening day at The Fair at the PNE did not disappoint. In fact, I was so impressed with this year’s featured events and exhibits that I can’t wait to get back there!
A few memorable highlights include POPnology, the Street of Dreams which showcases a million dollar car and the only one of its kind on the planet, real-life jousting knights in shining armour AKA the Knights of Valour and a 50th-anniversary party for Those Little Donuts.
Sunday I had the opportunity to judge my first BBQ contest at the Langley Ribfest. Sticky and full, it was an honour and delicious experience getting to judge these talented Ribbers.
Kudos to the community of Rotary Clubs for coming together to launch the first ever Langley Ribfest … a huge success and I can’t wait to join the judging panel again next year!
