Whalley All-Stars face Mexico in Little League World Series today

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –┬áThe Whalley All-Stars put their 1 and 1 record on the line today at the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.

Joey Marino drove in Nate Colina with a single in the 10th inning as Canada topped Spain 2-1 on Saturday at the Little League World Series.

Reliever Cole Balkovec earned the win for the Canadian team, lasting one inning, allowing no hits and no runs while striking out one. Zaeden Pleasants threw 5 1/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Jordan Jaramillo started Saturday’s game for Canada. He went 3 2/3 innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out five.

Canada faces Mexico at 3 p.m. Pacific.
