Shots fired at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, mall evacuated

TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – Toronto police have confirmed shots have been fired at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Officers were called to the mall for the sound of gunshots, which prompted a complete evacuation and lockdown of the building.

Investigators say the incident happened on the east side of the mall. They are currently canvassing the area for witnesses as well as video.

Police are looking for two suspects; one is described as a black male in his 20s, who was wearing a black hoodie and jeans. The second suspect is described as a skinny male also in his 20s, around 5’9″ tall with a black handgun.

Paramedics, Fire and Toronto police confirm no injuries have been reported.

The incident has also impacted some transit services.
