Police seek suspect in Surrey murder

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is looking to find and arrest 27-year-old Brandon Nathan Teixeira related to a Surrey murder.

Teixeria was charged with first-degree murder related to the shooting of 28-year-old Nicholas Khabra on Oct. 23, 2017.

“Essentially we have a man who’s has been charged with murder out somewhere in the community, and so we need to apprehend him as soon as possible to hold him to account for his charge,” said Cpl. Frank Jang with IHIT.

Brandon Teixeira is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-10 man with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a snake tattoo on the left side of his chest and a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

“It’s incredibly important that if somebody does see Brandon Teixeira in the community, please pick up the phone and call 911. We need to get to him, we need to arrest him so that there’s no more concern for the public safety,” Jang said.

The victim was found by police with gunshot wounds and later died in the hospital. Just after the shooting, police recovered a vehicle in Langley after it was set on fire.
