Arrest made after woman’s body found in Richmond home

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman in Richmond.

Mounties were called to a home on Westminster Highway near Gilbert Road just after midnight where Aspen Pallot’s body was found. Investigators say she lived in there.

Pallot’s death was deemed suspicious, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called in.

“The investigation is in its early stages and detectives believe this was not a random act,” IHIT Cpl. Frank Jang says. “We are releasing Miss Pallot’s name to garner information from her closest friends and associates regarding her activities leading up to her death.”

Jang says Pallot was not know to police.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
