Gas supplies back to normal in western Washington

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Most natural gas supplies are back to normal in western Washington today as we continue to conserve in B.C, following a pipeline explosion in Prince George this week.

Business and home customers with Cascade Natural Gas are now being told they no longer have to conserve energy, but industrial clients aren’t so lucky.

Industrial clients are being asked to wait until later today or tomorrow to resume normal usage.

“Cascade Natural Gas is grateful for the conservation efforts by its customers in western Washington as the natural gas system works its way back to normal operations following a pipeline rupture Tuesday evening in British Columbia, Canada,” reads a statement posted to their website.

“Cascade’s residential and business customers can return to normal usage immediately. Industrial customers that curtailed usage will be able to return to normal usage over the course of today and Friday as the region’s natural gas supply continues to increase.”

Cascade says they appreciate their customers’ cooperation as the issues with supply are resolved.

Some may have to wait until tomorrow for their full service to be restored.
