Burnaby high school to be replaced

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – One of the province’s largest schools – Burnaby North Secondary – is going to be replaced.

The new 1,800-seat school is expected to cost more than 79 millio. I’ts slated to open in September 2021.

Fortunately for current students, the existing school won’t have to shut down while the new one is being built. During construction, students at Burnaby North Secondary will still be able to stay in their current building.

Education Minister Rob Fleming says it will include new space for child care, adult education and language development programs.
