VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Seven Vancouver Police officers accused of delaying an investigation by B.C.’s police watchdog could now be forced to cooperate.
This involves the fatal Vancouver Police Department shooting of a man at the Canadian Tire store on Grandview and Rupert in November 2016.
Last year, the Independent Investigations Office petitioned the BC Supreme Court because the officers were not available for interviews with investigators.
The IIO says the judge has now ruled against the VPD.
Police have not yet replied to our request for comment.
