TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – It was a frightening experience for a Toronto Transit Commission supervisor after his car was swallowed up by a sinkhole near the Port Lands in Toronto Tuesday morning.
The sinkhole was caused by a watermain break around 5:30 a.m. local time.
The supervisor was near a Wheel-Trans facility checking out the situation to see if the TTC would need to divert service when his vehicle got stuck.
He was able to get out without any injuries, but the vehicle completely disappeared into the hole.
