Suspect in assault over Tim Horton’s Iced Capp arrested

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS 1130) – A man suspected of attacking a Tim Horton’s customer over an Iced Capp in New West has been arrested.

Police put out a warrant for 28-year-old Alan Sam Deguillaume last month after he was identified as a man in a surveillance video seen throwing a cash register and attacking a customer on Sept. 6. He was arrested in Powell River in mid-October, and was since released from custody on bail.

Police say the man in the video complained the order was wrong, started to insult staff, poured the drink on the counter, and walked out.

Deguillaume is set to appear in court later this month. He’s facing two charges of assault, and one count of mischief under $5,000.
