VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – If you’re looking for a new TV, chances are you can find a great deal during Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
But if you’re looking for jewellery or clothing, you should wait until next month. According to Katie Hammill with RetailMeNot.ca, you’ll find better deals on those items in December.
She says about a third of Canadians will spend more than $3,000 on electronics during Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.
“They definitely are trying to get ahead of holiday spending. About 68 per cent say they begin their shopping as early as possible, in order to save the most that they can.”
Hammill says if you get in early, you can score some good deals.
“There’s going to be doorbuster sales on things like TVs and small electronics like smartphones, smart watches — that sort of thing.”
She says November also sees discounts on toys, beauty items, video games, and kitchen items.
Outdoor gear and items for ithe home and garden are usually on sale next month.
Despite all the available deals, about half of Canadians have said in years past they aren’t able to find the deals they were looking for.
Hammill adds Black Friday and Cyber Monday is becoming increasingly more popular — many Canadians only started to look for deals over the last couple of years.
