Man hit by car in South Surrey, seriously hurt

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit while trying to cross 176 Street near 8 Avenue in South Surrey.
It happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators say the driver of the car did stay at the scene and is cooperating.
The pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital, where he is being treated for head injuries and broken bones.
The crash closed 176 Street for several hours, but the route has been re-opened.
