ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Two junior chickens, three McDoubles, and a jail cell.

A video released out of Abbotsford this week shows the moments right after a bait car is stolen in 2014, and the arrest of three people inside, all while stopping at the McDonalds drive through for food.

“We look good in this one babe,” a woman in the front seat says to the driver. “Want to stop at McDonald’s? I’m starving.”

“I’m so excited right now, my life just so much better, right babe?” she continues.

The three drive to McDonald’s and order two junior chickens, three McDoubles, and a root beer before the engine turns off at the drive through window.

“What did you do?” the driver asks the woman in the front seat.

Soon after, he realizes the jig is up.

“Oh, yeah, we’re in a bait car,” he says.

Abbotsford Police yell for the couple to come out with their hands up, but not before the woman in the front seat tells the driver to kiss her.

Police say the video serves as a reminder that bait cars are active and operational all across B.C.
