VPD identifies elderly woman killed in East Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – As police continue their search for a suspect in an East Vancouver homicide over the weekend, we’re learning more about the elderly victim.

Elizabeth Poulin was 87 years old. A family member found her body in her apartment near Kingsway and Kerr Street Saturday morning.

There’s no word on how she was killed and no arrests have been made.

“This investigation is a top priority for the police. Based on the information collected so far, investigators do not believe that the public is at risk,” VPD Sergeant Jason Robillard said.
