Arrest made in killing of elderly woman in East Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A man from Surrey has been arrested in connection with the killing of an 87-year-old woman in her East Vancouver apartment.

The body of Elizabeth Poulin was found by a family member in her home near Kingsway and Kerr St Saturday morning.

Police have not released many details of the case.

The VPD says homicide investigators are still working to “establish a clear motive.”

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area Friday night or Saturday morning to give them a call at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
