U.S. Customs extending NEXUS lane hours at Peace Arch

BLAINE, Wa. (NEWS 1130) – There’s some good news if you have NEXUS.
US Customs and Border Protection says it’s extending the hours you can use the lanes at the Peace Arch/Douglas crossing.
Beginning Dec. 23, they’ll be open from 6:00 a.m. until midnight. The lanes used to shut down at 9:00 p.m.
These new hours will be in effect seven days a week.
“Extending the hours of operation of the NEXUS lane at the Peace Arch Port of Entry allows CBP to further facilitate approved Trusted Travelers and utilize our resources more effectively to protect the homeland,” Area Port Director Kenneth L. Williams says in a release.
“We encourage everyone to consider taking advantage of this program to expedite your border processing.”
According to the Canada Border Services Agency, NEXUS is currently available at 21 land border crossings.
