Vancouver police release sketch of suspect after teen dragged into bushes, sexually assaulted

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The VPD has shared a composite sketch of a man they believe pulled a teenager into some bushes and sexually assaulted her in East Vancouver.

It happened at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Brewers Park, which is in the area of Kingsway and Victoria Drive. The 14-year-old girl apparently got off a bus on Kingsway and walked north on Miller Street before she was grabbed from behind and attacked by a stranger.

The suspect apparently ran east through the park and got away.

He is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s and between 5’7″ and 5’10” tall with a medium build. The’s believed to weigh between 160 and 200 pounds. He has dark brown eyes, an oval-shaped face and short, brown, wavy hair that is cut short on the sides.

The suspect was wearing a black rain jacket, dark blue jeans, and black boots.

Investigators want to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or who was in the area between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 27.
