NORTH SHORE (NEWS 1130) – It’s another sign winter is around the corner.
Skiers and snowboarders will be able to get some runs in at Grouse Mountain starting today.
“So today we’re excited to open up our Paradise Run, and that will be with access via the Greenway chair,” Julia Grant with Grouse says. “We also have our Paradise Jib Park, which is a terrain park that people can access starting at 3:30 p.m. today.”
You’ll be able to ski and ride until 10:00 p.m., and then start your day at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday if you so choose.

To commemorate the occasion, Grouse will be hosting a season opening even on Friday at its Paradise Jib Park.
The 2018/19 opening also marks a special milestone for Grouse Parks — the Mountain is celebrating its 25th anniversary of terrain parks.
“We’re excited to welcome skiers and riders back out on the slopes for the start of the winter season,” Grouse Mountain’s Director, Mountain Operations Grant Wahl says. “Our snowmaking team has done a great job taking advantage of the recent cold temperatures. We’re working to open up more terrain as soon as possible.”
Grant says the resort has also launched a new app to help you keep up to date on current conditions and events.
