Long-time Kamloops broadcaster dies

KAMLOOPS (NEWS 1130) – Condolences poured out Friday on social media after Radio NL reported beloved B.C. broadcaster Angelo Iacobucci has died.

He worked for 39 years as a broadcaster at Radio NL in Kamloops. In an obit, the radio station described him as gregarious, generous and funny.

He was well-respected in the industry after covering Kamloops city hall for years.

“His passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts, our newsroom, on the provincial news scene, and in this city,” NL News Director Shane Woodford writes. “Our thoughts go out to his family and especially his wife. Our heart breaks for you and we grieve with you.”

On social media, journalists who knew him and politicians he interviewed shared condolences.
