Police investigate apparent targeted shooting in South Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – One man is in the hospital after being shot in an apparently targeted shooting in South Vancouver.

VPD are investigating after they received calls about shots fired around  East 53 Avenue and Prince Edward Street just after 5 p.m. Saturday. Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man who was shot is now being treated at Vancouver General Hospital, which in under controlled Access right now.

Fraser Health says this is a standard security procedure when a gunshot victim comes in.

No word on his injuries and no arrests have been made.
