Vancouver PD needs dashcam footage in connection to ‘targeted’ shooting

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The Vancouver Police Department is seeking the public’s help in its investigation of a shooting on Saturday.

A press release by the police asks for dashcam footage specifically from the areas of East 49th Avenue along the north, East 57th Avenue at the south, Fraser Street to the east, and Main Street at the west, between the time of 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

According to the release, around 5 p.m. police got a call of shots fired in the area of East 53rd Avenue and Prince Edward Street. When they arrived, VPD found a 45-year-old man with gun shot wounds who was then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and the Major Crime Section is investigating.
