IHIT finds Audi SUV they believe is linked to Surrey teen’s murder

METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — After help from the public, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has located a luxury car they believe is linked to the 2017 murder of Kiran Dhesi.

In a tweet Saturday night, IHIT thanks those who helped them find a dark grey Audi Q7 from a surveillance video they shared with the public on Dec. 12. Investigators are still looking for a dark grey Dodge Ram they also believe is part of the murder case.

In August 2017, Surrey RCMP were called to a car fire in the area of 24 Avenue and 188 Street. After fire crews extinguished the flames, they found the 19-year-old’s body in it. In surveillance footage the night of, police have zeroed in on the Audi and Dodge.

Kiran’s family had appealed to the public to share any information with IHIT so they can solve the murder. No arrests have been made yet.
