Trudeau’s annual Christmas address calls for national unity

OTTAWA (NEWS 1130) — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is urging Canadians to stand together as they reflect on the year gone by and look ahead to the New Year.

In his annual Christmas message, Trudeau says the winter season, as cold and dark as it may be, is about bringing light into the lives of others. He sends a message of unity and mutual support across Canada, keeping in mind those who may not be celebrating tonight with their families or do not have the means to do so.

“We find strength in our differences, and celebrate everything we have in common. And we do our part to take care of each other, and make life better for the people around us. That’s what Christmas and Canada is all about,” Trudeau says.
