North Shore Rescue helps two lost hikers

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – North Shore Rescue is keeping busy at the end of 2018, capping off one of their busiest year.

Two hikers had to be rescued by North Shore Rescue Thursday night after the pair got stuck in the Grouse-Mount Fromme area.

Rescuers were called late in the night and the two were located in a drainage area near The Cut.

Temperatures in the area were hovering at about the freezing mark and there is snow in the parking lot at Fromme. The trails are also in poor shape.

This has been one of the busiest years in memory for North Shore Rescue.
