Pedestrian with life-threatening injuries after being hit by ‘passenger vehicle’ in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A pedestrian has suffered serious, potentially life threatening injuries after being hit by a “passenger vehicle” in Surrey’s newton area, RCMP say.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 152nd Street and 68th Avenue, which has been reopened in all directions after being blocked off for much of the morning.

Earlier in the day, Mounties had reported it was a Coast Mountain bus which hit the pedestrian, but that was since corrected by the police force.

The public should avoid the area while police investigate what led to the collision. Keep up to date with NEWS 1130 Traffic every 10 minutes on the one’s.
