Mounties plead for witnesses to come forward following Surrey crash

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – The RCMP is calling on anyone who may have witnessed a crash in the area of 152nd Street and 68th Avenue last Saturday to come forward.

Officers were called to the intersection around 7:20 a.m. for reports a pedestrian had been struck.

The 58-year-old woman who was hit is currently in hospital with serious, life threatening injuries, the Surrey RCMP says.

It’s not believed speed or impairment were factors in the crash, and Mounties say the 64-year-old driver of the Acura CSX sedan is cooperating with investigators.

Mounties would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have captured it on dash-cam video.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 604.599.0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS.
