VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — If dogs could talk, Littlefoot would like have quite a tale to tell.
The 18-month old mixed breed from Vancouver went missing December 2, but was reunited with his owners Friday after he was found in Richmond.

Littlefoot had darted away during a walk in Mount Pleasant, when his owner had a seizure.
Mike Boultbee and his partner decided to launch a GoFundMe page to raise money to hire a pet detective. He says he’s amazed Littlefoot got as far as he did.
“He’d get scared by a lot of little things, and here he is, walking himself over a bike path over the Fraser River and into a completely new area,” he says.
Al MacLellan with Petsearchers describes how Littlefoot was finally caught.
“From a sighting we knew he was coming down to a school area that he goes into once in a while,” he says. “I set a trap and he was hungry enough to go inside.”
He says it took this long to nab the dog because he’s a fast runner and he believes even a coyote was chasing him.
“All dogs go into survival mode and they all don’t want to come,” he says. “They won’t come to the owners, that’s quite typical, and he’s a fast runner. Lots of people were chasing him.”
