VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A blast of winter weather is heading for much of the province tomorrow, prompting a flurry of alerts from Environment Canada.
A special weather statement has been issued for the Lower Mainland, the Sunshine Coast, Whistler and Inland Vancouver Island.
If you live in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley you can expect some wet snow on Tuesday.
Meantime, the Howe Sound and Sea to Sky could see about 20-centimetres of snow by Wednesday morning. The Howe sound also has a wind-warning up, with strong gusts expected to develop overnight.
The Sunshine Coast shouldn’t get hit as hard, with about two to five centimetres expected on Tuesday as well. But inland parts of Vancouver Island could see between 10 and 20 centimetres by Tuesday night.
