Shuttle bus bursts into flames near Broadway and Cambie

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Vancouver fire fighters have extinguished a fire after a small, private tour or shuttle bus burst into flames near the intersection of Broadway and Cambie Friday night.

Battalion Chief Mike Sereda says the bus driver noticed smoke coming from the front of the bus as it was travelling north on Cambie, and pulled over. The driver and six passengers were not hurt. The bus is apparently related to the Bacio Rosso.

“The driver noticed some smoke coming out of the dashboard, when he pulled over, the flames overtook the cab of the bus and the passenger department,” he tells NEWS 1130.

A fire investigator will be looking into what happened.
