Serious collision between train and truck in Delta

DELTA (NEWS 130) — A Canadian National Railway train smashed into a truck in Delta on Saturday afternoon, in what Police are calling a “serious collision”.
Crews are expected to be on scene at 72nd Street near Ladner Trunk Road for some time on Saturday night as a result, and Delta Police are asking motorists to avoid the area which is closed to traffic.
There is no initial information available on on any injuries, or what may have caused the crash. A witness has told NEWS 1130 that the aftermath looked “very serious”.
Delta Police are advising motorists to take 80th Street as an alternate route, and to expect delays in the area.
