Barack Obama is set to speak to members of the GVBoT in Vancouver on March 5th

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The former president of the United States will be making a trip to Vancouver this spring.

The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade says Barack Obama is set to speak to the board at the Vancouver Convention Centre on March 5th.

Tickets for “A Conversation with President Barack Obama” are set to go on sale to GVBoT members first, being made available next week on Friday. If there are any left, the group says non-members will have a chance to snag a ticket on February 1st.

“It is an honour for our organization to host one of the most respected world leaders in recent history, in light of his lifelong dedication to principled diplomacy and creating a more equal society,” GVBoT President and CEO Iain Black says.

Early last year, former First Lady Michelle Obama touched down in Vancouver for an engagement that sold out within ten minutes.

A second event was created, both hosted by the GVBoT.
