VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver mayor Kennedy Stewart is sitting down with Premier John Horgan Tuesday to talk transit.
“I’ll be bringing up the SkyTrain to UBC, to see where the province is on that idea and to see where we can get assistance,” Stewart said.
The Broadway extension is expected to cost about $2.8 billion. But that doesn’t include getting it to UBC, which the university has suggested it will help pay for.

Stewart says transit will also be top of mind when he meets with the prime minister next week.
The mayor also plans to talk to the premier on Tuesday about affordable housing.
“We really appreciate the provincial support so far, in terms of money for modular housing and other initiatives, but I think there’s a lot more we can do together.”
