VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Three people have been hurt in a crash that snarled traffic near Clark Drive and Venables for a few hours on Feb. 4.

Police say the 23-year-old driver of a Honda Civic was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while an adult driver and a small child in a Subaru were taken as a precaution.

Just before noon, the Civic was travelling south on Clark Drive in the lanes for northbound traffic.

Police say it was going at a high rate of speed, and clipped a Subaru and an Infinity. The Civic also rear-ended a delivery truck. The occupants of the Subaru were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The intersection was closed during part of the afternoon on Monday while the Collision Investigation Unit collected evidence at the scene. The intersection has since been reopened.

Police are still investigating.
