Vancouver Boat Show on this weekend

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Today’s weather might not have you thinking about being out on the water, but the Vancouver International Boat Show continues this weekend.
Show Manager Eric Nicholl says winter is actually a perfect time for the event.
“The reason why we’re trying to get everybody to see the new products early is so they can actually have them delivered in time for the boating season and they’ll be out on the water faster,” he says.
Granville Island may be busier than usual for a Saturday during winter but Nicholl says attendance will likely depend on how the weather shapes up today.
“If we get really nice weather, everybody wants to go outside. If it’s super rainy, nobody wants to go anywhere. Ideally if it’s cloudy, maybe sunny with some overcast and above freezing, that would be a home run for us.”
The Boat Show is happening at Granville Island and BC Place. It wraps up tomorrow.
