Trudeau to visit Burnaby-South riding

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – With a cloud of controversy hovering over him, the Prime Minister is coming to British Columbia.

Justin Trudeau will be at an event the afternoon of Feb. 10 in Burnaby-South to help campaign for Liberal Richard T. Lee, who is running in the upcoming by-election.

It’s also an important one for the leader of the NDP, Jagmeet Singh, who is trying to get his first seat on Parliament Hill.

Last week, Trudeau’s office became embroiled in a scandal, accused of pressuring former Attorney-General Jody Wilson-Raybould to help a Quebec company, SNC Lavalin, avoid criminal prosecution.

Trudeau will meet with Lee at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts at 4:30 pm on Feb. 10.

Voters go to polls in the Burnaby-South by-election on Feb. 25.
